Annual daylighting internal error reinsrc.cal: cannot open

1. Check the DesignBuilder session logs

2. If the logs are showing:

3. Then you may have installed the standalone Daysim or Radiance at some point.

Solution:

Delete the user and system environment variable RAYPATH and try again.

At Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Advanced (tab) > Environment Variables > Under "System variables" and “User variable”, find RAYPATH and delete it.

Also delete all Daysim and Radiance references on the Path variable both user and system level.

Then start a new DB session and try Annual Daylighting.

You may also have other applications that are using Radiance then a workaround is to copy reinsrc.cal file from the DesignBuilder installation folder of Radiance ( C:\Program Files (x86)\DesignBuilder\Radiance-5.2\lib) to all other locations where Radiance is installed.
