CIBSE TM54 2022 is the best practice modelling guide for dynamic thermal simulation including building's HVAC systems. DesignBuilder can be used to model for TM54 compliance when using the Dynamic Simulation with both Template HVAC and Detailed HVAC options (see TM54 Figure 4.5). The core elements of TM54 can be modelled using DesignBuilder’s Simulation module plus Detailed HVAC if you want to use that for the assessment. Apart from that Sensitivity analysis can also be undertaken in DesignBuilder. Many resources guide the way:
1. DesignBuilder Webinar: Design Stage Performance Modelling (CIBSE TM54). This webinar provides step-by-step guidance on how to do TM54 modelling using a demo building. https://app.gotowebinar.com/unified/index.html#/embedded/recording/4b53b01a378d4a139f3481c354c176d0?source=G2S-EMBEDDED
2. Case Study for Simple HVAC: This case study, published by BSER&T (CIBSE's Journal) shows a full step-by-step TM54 modelling process of a school building using DesignBuilder.
3. Case Study for Detailed HVAC: This case study, published by BSER&T (CIBSE's Journal) shows a full step-by-step TM54 modelling process of an office building using DesignBuilder.

For general modelling guidance, there are individual training sessions and groups (such as HVAC) in our on-demand training content. You can then apply that knowledge in the context of the TM54 methodology. You can find those training details here: https://designbuilder.co.uk/buy-online-training#select-packages-and-modules
