How to generate Spatial Daylight Autonomy for a Single Day

Modified on Thu, 8 Aug at 10:18 AM

Question: Can we generate results for one day only (June 21st 08:00 - 18:00)?

You can create an occupancy schedule (Compact type) for that particular day with three Through periods:

- before June 21st,

- on 21st

- and after the 21st.

You can create a new custom schedule and copy/paste the example text below:

Schedule:Compact,

8-18 June 21st,

Fraction,

Through: 20 Jun,

For: AllDays,

Until: 24:00, 0,

Through: 21 Jun,

For: AllDays,

Until: 07:00, 0,

Until: 17:00, 1,

Until: 24:00, 0,

Through: 31 Dec,

For: AllDays,

Until: 24:00, 0;

Depending on the project location and the hemisphere you can use the following default schedules as a reference, create a copy, and set the 08:00 to 18:00 period:

You can do this from the Annual daylighting calculation dialog. Override the Annual daylighting occupancy schedule to be active only for the day of interest will ensure that your Daylight Autonomy results apply only to that day.
