How to rotate the building with respect to North?

Modified on Mon, 7 Aug, 2023 at 2:32 PM

You can rotate the site (including all of the buildings on the site) relative to the North by using the Site orientation data at the Site level on the Location tab under Site Details. For example, enter 90 to rotate the buildings clockwise by 90°.

This is the quickest and most reliable way to rotate all the buildings on the site relative to the North and allows you to keep your x and y axes aligned with the building. Rotating the building using the Rotate tool is possible but once this is done it makes further edits more difficult because, for rotations other than 90, 180 or 270°, the x and y axes will be out of alignment with the building.

The Site North Arrow indicates the current Site North.
