It is quite common to be at zone level in a model and to want to navigate to a surface that is sitting behind another surface. The eastern wall surface in this post’s image is an example, as it sits behind the ceiling surface.
You could of course orbit the model to access the surface from a different unobstructed angle. But you can also navigate easily to the obstructed surface directly by pressing and holding the <Shift> key and moving your mouse onto the required surface at zone level before left-clicking to select it.
