Accessing the eplusout.eso file in Simulation Manager

The Simulation Manager in DesignBuilder is a powerful tool that allows users to conduct various simulations for their projects. Each job you create within the Simulation Manager is associated with a specific folder that contains all the relevant simulation files. 

These files are stored locally in the job folder at the following directory: `C:\ProgramData\DesignBuilder\JobServer\Users\User`. 

Steps to access the results eplusout.eso file

1. Determine the Job Number:

To find the job number associated with your simulation, launch the Simulation Manager and hover your mouse over the E+ symbol. This will display the job number. Make sure to note this number, as it will be essential for locating the correct folder.

2. Navigate to the Job Folder:

Open File Explorer and navigate to the directory `C:\ProgramData\DesignBuilder\JobServer\Users\User`. Please keep in mind that `C:\ProgramData\` is a hidden folder by default. To access this folder, you will need to enable the option to display hidden files. You can do this by clicking on the "View" tab in File Explorer and checking the "Hidden items" checkbox.

3. Locate the eplusout.eso File:

Inside the job folder corresponding to your noted job number, look for the file named `eplusout.eso`. This file contains the simulation output data you need for further analysis.

Important Considerations:

- File Size Limitations: Be aware that files larger than 2GB may not load properly in the Results Viewer. If you encounter issues opening the file, consider reducing its size by adjusting the output variables. For instance, you can turn off surface heat transfer and limit the stored surface outputs. Additionally, selecting only one reporting period (hourly) can significantly decrease the file size.
