SBEM 6.1.e Patch 03 (As Built Shell and Core)

This patch must be installed by Energy Assessors certified by Kaizen Certification when using DesignBuilder v7.2.0.032 to generate XMLs. It ensures that Kaizen Assessor numbers are recognised correctly by EPCgen and does not need to be installed by Energy Assessors using other accreditation schemes.

The patch is required for both SBEM and DSM.

Note that the DesignBuilder interface is not currently configured to display Kaizen Certification in the Accreditation scheme drop list. However, this does not matter as the Accreditation scheme setting is not generally used by SBEM. Provided you enter your Assessor Number (Format KAZNnnnnnn), SBEM will identify it as a Kaizen number and assign the Certification Scheme correctly in the XML.

You can check this on the Draft EPC Certificate after calculation:

Instructions:

1. You should have DesignBuilder v7.2.0 installed.

2. Download the new version of EPCgen.zip from the DesignBuilder Energy Assessors Download page.

3. The zip file contains one file: EPCgen.exe. Extract it to any folder, for example, your Documents folder.

4. Find the SBEM 61e folder on your system using the DesignBuilder "File > Folders > v61e Folder" menu command:

5. Close DesignBuilder.

6. Copy the extracted EPCgen.exe file to the SBEM 61e folder, overwriting any previous version of this file that may be present.

7. Provided your Assessor Number is input correctly, you should now be able to run DesignBuilder EPC calculations and generate an XML with your full credentials. Please check the Draft EPC Certificate before attempting to lodge.

Notes

1. This Patch does not work for Scottish lodgements. Please contact Kaizen Certification for guidance.
