When you create a DSM model, you will see the NOS level for the building defaults to Level 3 and you cannot edit it:
However, when you run the simulation to generate the EPC, the EPC Report will display the NOS level as 5.
This is because:
1. DesignBuilder DSM assessments always set the Building Complexity to 5 regardless of the setting made by the assessor.
2. If you are switching between SBEM and DSM analyses then setting the NOS Level to 5 in DSM would mean that you would have to reset it to Level 3 or 4 for SBEM and then reset it again to Level 5 if then switching back to DSM. Thus the level can only be set in SBEM mode.
3. Some Accreditation Scheme portals block DSM assessments with Building Complexity set to 3 or 4.
