If your simulation generates the following Severe/Fatal error: Program Version,EnergyPlus, Version 9.4.0-998c4b761e, YMD=2021.03.18 12:07, ** Severe ** <root>[Material:NoMass][3_RVAL_4][thermal_resistance] - "0.000100" - Expected number greater than or equal to 0.001000 ** Fatal ** Errors occurred on processing input file. Preceding condition(s) cause termination. ...Summary of Errors that led to program termination: ..... Reference severe error count=1 ..... Last severe error=<root>[Material:NoMass][3_RVAL_4][thermal_resistance] - "0.000100" - Expected number greater than or equal to 0.001000 ************* Warning: Node connection errors not checked - most system input has not been read (see previous warning). ************* Fatal error -- final processing. Program exited before simulations began. See previous error messages. ************* EnergyPlus Warmup Error Summary. During Warmup: 0 Warning; 0 Severe Errors. ************* EnergyPlus Sizing Error Summary. During Sizing: 0 Warning; 0 Severe Errors. ************* EnergyPlus Terminated--Fatal Error Detected. 0 Warning; 1 Severe Errors; Elapsed Time=00hr 00min 0.64sec This error indicates that the thermal resistance value set on one of the materials is below the accepted minimum. To fix this the material thermal resistance needs to be reviewed at Construction tab. The material can be identified on the IDF file by searching for the reported material name.
