The usual reason for not being able to find a previously created construction (schedule, material etc) is that it is associated with a particular region but data for that region is being hidden due to settings on the International tab of the program options dialog. You could try showing all data by changing settings on that tab to see if this helps. 

Also on occasions we've noticed that restarting the software can show data that previously was hidden.
