How to Update Your Single-User Annual License to the Latest Version

If you are using a single-user annual license, you can update to the latest version by simply reactivating your activation code in the new release. This process will give you access to all the latest features and improvements.

Steps to Update

If you already have the latest version installed, proceed directly to Step 3

1. Uninstall previous versions

If you currently have an older version installed (e.g., v7.3.1), please uninstall it before proceeding:
i. At Windows, click Start and open Settings.
ii. Go to Apps > Installed apps.
iii. Locate DesignBuilder in the list.
iv. Click the three dots next to it and choose Uninstall.
v. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete removal.

2. Download and install
Download the latest release from the DesignBuilder website and complete the installation.

3. Deactivate your license
Open DesignBuilder and go to Help > Licence to open the Licence Manager.

On the Activation Codes tab, select your activation code(s) and press Deactivate.
If your code is not visible, press the Reset button instead.

4. Reactivate your license
In the Licence Manager, press the Licence button to launch the Licence Manager Wizard.

Select Activation Code as the license type and click Next.
Enter your existing activation code and follow the steps in the wizard to complete activation.
