If you come across the following message when opening a new DesignBuilder session, then this means that the licensing service is not running on this machine.
To fix this please follow the steps below:
1. Go to the Windows Services area ( type Services at Windows search bar),
2. Select the DBSimLServer service,
3. Press Stop and
4. Then Restart.
