SBEM 6.1.e Patch 04 (Scotland Section 63)

Modified on Fri, 7 Jun at 10:07 AM

This patch corrects the inconsistency between the EPC and Scotland's Section 63 Action Plan input files.

It applies to DesignBuilder v7.2.0.032 only.

To better understand the roles of each patch, please check the SBEM Applications and Versions article.

Important notes about Patch 04

  • New Section 63 assessments must use this patch.

  • It can be used in all other assessments: BRUKL, EPC, England, Scotland and Wales but is not essential for assessments other than Section 63.

  • Final Action Plans must use the same version of SBEM.exe as were used in the Draft Plans. Thus if you have Draft Action Plans which have already lodged with DesignBuilder v7.2.0 you will need to remove the patch when preparing the Final Action Plan. To do this we suggest installing Patch 03. Check the SBEM 6.1.e Patch 03 (As Built Shell and Core) for instructions on how Install Patch 03.

  • We would recommend that you restart the ongoing Section 63 assessments with the new patch. However, it is possible to continue without the patch.

  • Patch 01 is incorporated in the v7.2.0.032 Release

Instructions to install the new patch

1. You should have DesignBuilder v7.2.0 installed.

2. Download Patch04.zip from the DesignBuilder Energy Assessors Download page.

3. The zip file contains two files: SBEM.exe and EPCGEN.exe. Extract it to any folder, for example, your Documents folder.

4. Find the SBEM 61e folder on your system using the DesignBuilder "File > Folders > v61e Folder" menu command:

5. Close DesignBuilder.

6. Copy the extracted SBEM.exe and EPCgen.exe files to the SBEM 61e folder, overwriting any previous versions of these files.

7. When you reload DesignBuilder it will have access to these updated files.
