Resolving the -150 License Error in DesignBuilder v2025.1


To clear the licensing error code -150 in DesignBuilder version 2025.1, a manual license reset is necessary. Please follow the steps outlined below:


  1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\DesignBuilder\Licences and delete all files contained within this folder.

  2. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Reprise\designb and delete all files contained within this folder.


The C:\ProgramData directory is hidden by default in Windows. If it is not visible, enable the option to display hidden files: 
For Windows 11
    i. Open File Explorer from the taskbar    
    ii. Select View, then Show, and ensure Hidden items is checked. 


  1. Open the DesignBuilder License Manager application. Click the License button, and enter your activation code to reactivate the license.



Following these steps will reset your license files and allow you to reactivate your DesignBuilder software. If you continue to experience issues after completing these steps, please contact DesignBuilder Support for further assistance.
